Overview & About

The Bharadsar Lake Trek is one of the most breathtaking and secluded treks in Uttarakhand, offering an immersive experience deep in the Garhwal Himalayas. Nestled between the Rupin Valley of Himachal Pradesh and the Obra Valley of Uttarakhand, the trail takes trekkers through thick pine forests, lush alpine meadows, and rugged mountain passes before revealing the pristine Bharadsar Lake at an altitude of approximately 4,400 meters (14,400 ft).

This trek is a hidden gem that remains largely unexplored, perfect for trekkers seeking solitude, untouched landscapes, and raw Himalayan beauty. The serene glacial lake of Bharadsar, surrounded by snow-draped peaks and wildflowers, offers an unforgettable view that feels straight out of a dream.

The journey begins from Sankri or Himri, small mountain villages in Uttarkashi district, known as gateways to many classic Himalayan trails. The route gradually ascends through meadows, ridgelines, and river valleys, blending natural beauty with cultural charm. Guided by experienced trek leaders from Make My Hikes, trekkers can safely explore this offbeat trail while enjoying the peace and purity of nature at its finest.
