Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website, submitting an enquiry, communicating with our team, or booking any trek, tour, transport, stay, or travel-related service through Make My Hikes, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or proceed with a booking.
Services Offered
Make My Hikes offers trekking packages, tour packages, customized itineraries, group departures, private departures, transport arrangements, accommodation assistance, and related travel services.
All services are subject to availability, destination conditions, seasonal operations, operational feasibility, vendor confirmation, government restrictions, weather, and safety considerations.
Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed only after the required payment, advance deposit, or confirmation amount has been received by us and acknowledged by our team. In some cases, additional verification or document submission may be required before final confirmation.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking before final confirmation if pricing errors, vendor availability issues, route restrictions, operational limits, or safety concerns arise.
Pricing & Payments
Prices shown on the website, shared over chat, or provided in quotations are subject to change until the booking is confirmed. Pricing may vary due to seasonal demand, hotel availability, transport changes, taxes, vendor revisions, permit charges, or fuel-related fluctuations.
- Partial advance may be required at the time of booking
- Remaining balance may need to be cleared before departure or as per the booking schedule
- Payment gateway charges, transfer charges, or third-party transaction charges may apply
- Failure to pay on time may lead to cancellation or release of the booking
Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation and refund treatment may vary depending on the destination, service type, hotel policy, transport policy, fixed departure rules, permit conditions, and how close the cancellation occurs to the departure date.
Unless otherwise stated in a specific package policy, cancellation charges may apply for operational, vendor, administrative, and blocking costs already incurred.
- Refund timelines may depend on banking channels and third-party reversals
- Some bookings, permits, or transport arrangements may be non-refundable
- Convenience fees, gateway fees, and processing costs may be non-refundable
- No-show cases may not be eligible for refund
Changes in Itinerary or Schedule
Mountain travel and remote destination travel are dynamic in nature. We reserve the right to modify itinerary flow, hotel allocation, campsite location, transport mode, departure timing, route sequence, sightseeing order, meal plan details, or activity schedule when required for safety, weather, operational efficiency, road conditions, government orders, natural events, or supplier constraints.
Such changes shall not automatically entitle the traveler to a refund unless explicitly committed by us in writing.
Traveler Responsibilities
Travelers are responsible for ensuring that the information they provide is accurate and complete. You must assess your own fitness, health condition, and readiness before joining any trek, tour, or high-altitude trip.
- Carry valid government-issued identification where required
- Follow reporting times, safety guidelines, and local instructions
- Maintain respectful behavior with staff, co-travelers, locals, and vendors
- Carry personal medication and essentials relevant to your condition
- Ensure you are physically prepared for the selected itinerary
Health, Fitness & High Altitude
Treks, mountain tours, and high-altitude journeys involve natural risks, including weather exposure, rough terrain, remoteness, road delays, altitude impact, exhaustion, and limited access to immediate medical support in some regions.
By booking such a trip, you acknowledge these inherent risks. It is your responsibility to disclose relevant medical conditions where necessary and to seek medical advice before undertaking strenuous or altitude-based travel.
Force Majeure & Uncontrollable Events
We shall not be held liable for failure, delay, alteration, cancellation, or disruption caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These may include weather conditions, snowfall, landslides, road blocks, political disturbances, government restrictions, strikes, flight disruptions, pandemics, natural disasters, local shutdowns, technical failures, or security issues.
In such cases, additional costs arising from extended stay, alternate transport, revised accommodation, rescheduling, or route change may need to be borne by the traveler unless otherwise agreed.
Third-Party Vendors & External Services
Many parts of a travel experience may be delivered through third-party vendors such as hotels, transport operators, activity providers, local guides, meal providers, or permit-handling partners. While we coordinate these services, their actual performance may depend on the standards, availability, and conditions applicable to those third parties.
We are not liable for every independent act, omission, delay, closure, or deficiency of third-party providers, though we will make reasonable efforts to coordinate and support the traveler.
Website Use & Content
The content on this website is provided for general information and booking assistance purposes. We try to keep descriptions, prices, visuals, departures, and service details accurate, but we do not guarantee that all website content will always be fully current, error-free, or uninterrupted.
Unauthorized copying, reproduction, scraping, redistribution, or misuse of website content, branding, images, itineraries, or design elements is not permitted without prior written approval.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Make My Hikes shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of the use of this website or participation in any trek, tour, or travel service booked through us.
Our liability, where legally applicable, shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the traveler to us for the concerned booking, excluding amounts attributable to third-party losses, force majeure circumstances, or traveler negligence.
Termination or Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel participation, or terminate a booking in cases involving abusive behavior, unsafe conduct, intoxication, legal non-compliance, document issues, non-payment, harassment, operational disruption, or actions that put staff, partners, co-travelers, or local communities at risk.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect operational updates, website changes, legal developments, policy revisions, or changes in service structure. The updated version will be posted on this page with the revised effective date.
